You have a trad shoot out in St. Landry parish this weekend as well as a big rendezvous there at the end of April. Details are in the "shoots and rendezvous thread downpage. It would be a good chance to get face-to-face with some more experienced archers and get their input, perhaps try out some bows.

There are some excellent 68'' reflex/deflex flatbows made by Keiser
made in the EU, at 3/400 dollars if you can get them.

If it turns out your true draw length is too long for commercial shafts, you can always foot wood to get any length you need.

If I were starting out in archery, I would look into an ILF bow, you'll get the biggest bang for the buck. Call Landcaster Archery, I hear they are very helpful in getting you in the right bow.
