Good morning.  Anyone who owns/shoots both a Whip and a Prairie Predator that can compare and contrast with me?  I have a Whip now and love this bow.  I was thinking of getting at least one more plus bows for daughters.  I know the Mad Dog bows are not as obsessively finished...Mike says so...but I am curious about feel, grip design, smoothness, accuracy, etc. as a comparison between the two.

I only have one bow right now and I want a second hunting bow, a light draw practice bow, and bows for my college age daughters to try.

My Whip is 66".  I would be getting 62" Predators.

I have a Whip and had a Prairie Predator.  Like you are thinking, I got the PP as a lighter bow for winter use.  I don't want to knock the PP as for what you pay it shots pretty good.  Not sure what the price is today, but probably about 1/3'rd or 1/4" of what the Whip costs.   Let's just say that compared to the Whip, I would chose the Whip.

Stevem,

Can you make any specific comments on why other than cosmetics?  I definitely want another Whip, but was hoping I would not be disappointed in a PP considering comments about bowyer and that bow in particular.

One of the things I've done within the last two or three years is, I started making the Prairie Predator a bit wider in the limbs and riser area.  I've never held a Whip, but Lot's of people have them and really like them.

Mr. Mecredy,

Good morning!  I just noticed your response.  Obviously I made the decision to go ahead and order Predators.  Rimfire is the nickname for the Barry Fitzgerald that just ordered 3 of them from you for my girlfriend and two daughters.  :)

If I can get one of them into shooting traditional archery with me I will be happy.  I am looking forward to trying them myself.  In the price range I could handle for three bows a lot of research sent me your way.  I am seriously debating ordering a fourth of identical spec for me so we all can go shooting with exactly the same bow.  Just seems right!

Regards,
