Was able to get a small boar just before dark last night.  Which works out well as my priest will be home soon and has pointed out his freezer is empty.
15 yard shot and he ran maybe 15 yards.  Nice slice through the heart.
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

I only shoot WOOD arrows... My kid makes them, fast as I can break them!

There is a fine line between Hunting, & Sitting there looking Stupid...

Got a real big doe this evening! 108# live weight is BIG for around here. The shot was a little higher than I wanted, but still put a big 1.5" hole thru both lungs. She went about 80-90yds. My dog Zeke made quick work of finding her. I shot her with my Primal Tech longbow, 46@29.

Congrats Bisch. That's a big doe! Looks like you are getting along just fine with the new limbs.

Awesome animals everybody!  Congrats!

Tim, that's a good one.  Figured it was just a matter of time before you knocked a buck down.  I was up in your neck of the woods this past weekend at our farm, but I sure didn't find anything like that.

The great pics continue. Thanks, guys. Every time I look here it seems there is another picture of Bisch with a new kill. The other day, a Texan was complaining about how hard it is to find hunting land there. No problem, because at the rate Bisch is going, all the deer in Texas will soon be gone. Continued good luck to all you guys.

I had a rare opportunity Saturday.  I had planned to take the whole first ten days of November off work to hunt.....but then my own work schedule started really getting busy, and my wife's company decided she needed to be in NY that week (and we have three children)......so my hand was forced a bit; I knew I was going to miss hunting during peak rut.  The rutting action here has REALLY picked up this week and things were pretty hot Saturday.  I had several different bucks answer my grunt calls throughout the day.  About an hour before sunset, these two buck simultaneously answered my grunts and came in at the same time.  Two arrows later, my season was over.  It's a little bittersweet because I know I won't be hunting the peak rut, but I had a unique chance and the freezer is full now.  The larger buck was the second one I arrowed, after he had gored the other buck after it died, much like a tom turkey will peck or spur a dead rival.  One more grunt brought the second buck right to me.  Shots were 24 yards and 7 yards.  Both fell under 50 yards from my tree.
