Hi folks,
I just received permission to hunt land in Gaines county Texas. Have never been there & live in NY. Was looking for info from anyone here who might know the area & has any advice & such. Would be appreciated. Thanks

I looked up where it was. I've been to Crane the last three years, and it's just south of there. You might see javies all day,but the hogs are mostly nocturnal. This last year we were up there when the winter storm hit,and all animals were moving all day long.

South of Lubbock. County buts up to New Mexico state border. Flat dry not much for trees. Javies and maybe mule deer. Have not hunted the area but used to drive through there quite often heading to Lovington New Mexico.

Bump
Hoping to hunt mule deer maybe next year. Ruptured my Achilles right leg Christmas Eve & have been laid up. 6-8 more weeks until I'm out of my boot. Just in time for May turkey here in NY though. Still looking for info from anyone here who has experience in that area of Texas. Thanks
