Dang it has been a long time since we were all able to get together and hang out.....missing events like Compton were the worst thing about the last 12 month 'lockdown.

Teresa and Fred are loading up today, they will have an excellent both put together by time the doors open.

They are excited to show the new, ultimate(my words) IRON WOOL. They also have a few new patterns, with the the Buffalo Trace plaid being on of the nicest plaids I have ever seen.

I hope to see you there!!

I will be seeing it Saturday for the first time...but Teresa explained it simply as the toughest, thickest wool she has ever used.

I tried the Iron Wool this fall and it seemed like every day I had a bitter NW wind.  I've gotta tell you of all the wool I have this is the warmest I've got......... as Swan said,

"And the rain will not go through it"

Fred & Teresa Asbell, great people and outstanding products.  I'm hoping the Compton Rendezvous is a tremendous success.

I got my Dad an Asbell vest and handwarmer muff - both in Timberghost plaid, and a vest for my Mom in Navajo Brown several years ago. Teresa bent over backwards to get them done and shipped in time for Christmas.  My Dad, a bowhunter for 70 years, passed in January and I now have his Asbell vest and handwarmer muff and they will serve me well in the fall woods, like they did my Dad.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

It always confuses me to see traditional archery and Compton in the same sentence.  I think it's a west coast Gen-X thing.

Glenn St Charles is the man that wanted the organization named after Chief Compton. He wanted Compton to be a traditional archery record keeping club for big game taken with traditional bows. He said Pope & Young (which Glenn started) was getting too many compounds involved in it

I have a Caribou in the Compton record book
