This turned out even better than I expected.
It also includes a side track.  :biglaugh:

I may have gotten off subject, maybe I should go back and read the original picture!  :biglaugh:

Yes it is...

I agree with Roy.  I almost never agree with Roy, but believe he's right on this subject.   :saywhat:

When I shot that head at a deer (except it was the blue one, that might have made a difference, not sure) I tracked that deer thru the snow quite a ways. It was in Ohio back in 09 I think. Had to trespass on the neighbors land to get her. Well I didn't have to trespass but I did. Or maybe I called him and told him I needed to track a deer, I don't remember exactly. He hunted big deer there. He told me that at one time. I remember there were lots of rabbit tracks in his briars. I kind of wanted to go back to hunt rabbits. My bow was 66"

Like Terry Green said "How many of you have shot a Bison Bull with a gate on its head?"

Hey Doug, I know that property and there were lots of rabbits there.  Dated the guys daughter each Fall so that he'd give me permission to bunny hunt there.  He almost let me hunt deer there too, but said he had too many others trespassing on the property to allow me to deer hunt there.  Now I know who to blame . . .

So you're saying that penetration would have been better, and I would see more blood, with that broadhead?

Dang Carpdaddy,  I don't know much, but I believe by your photos that the trees tremble when you walk into the woods!!!  Or should I say when you 'hit' the woods?

So what are you trying to say, that A three blade would produce more blood?

I'm uncertain if a 3 blade would help you out much, but if Pine is correct that spine weight is not calculated proportioned to the color of the mass weight, you should consider using florescent orange as the only color of your mass weight as it may help you find your arrows stuck in timber.  You are one heck of a consistent shooter!

Thanks, I will consider your advise, and color mass weight.

Would I do better on penetration if my ladder stand was set at a different angle?

WOW!  I assume your an arrowsmith as it appears you must go through plenty of arrows and broadheads.    If I were you, I'd think seriously about only deer hunting clearings and open fields, avoiding windy days or using a chainsaw to widen my shooting lanes.  Or, maybe stick to shooting carp!  I Kill Me!

Hey, where did you steal that folding church chair?  Also, the first standing shot you attempt from that fabulous stand will probably be your last . . .

Carpdaddy, maybe I need to stop down and learn ya how to shoot:)

Roy, Roy, Roy . . . I can tell by 1.) all the other holes randomly spaced all over that deer target and 2.) the differing angle of the arrows in the photo and 3.) the differing amounts of penetration . . .  that this is an excellent example of a well-executed hand job!  You should be ashamed!
