I'm just curious If anyone has a Hurst  Prana static and how smooth are they drawing?
I am on the list for  a 59" one and would like to know your set up if you don't mind sharing ?
   Thanks ,

One of the best one piece Recurve out there. Mine is a 61" and keeps an open string angle on fingers at long DL. You will experience a really fast bow smooth at the back end of draw thus forgiving and accurate.
Mine is G10 riser/BW ebony veneers and I ordered it high wrist
Look at string angle at 32" and the arrow group is 20 yards with all diiferent arrows .300 .340 and .350 spine and all different point weight from 250 to 350 gr
Plus, it is the only bow ever, and most probably the only one in my all life, which I performed a double Robin Hood

Regarding to performance
Here is an average chrono with same arrow (610 gr) from the hurst Prana 56#@32" (weighted 56.6#)  compared to a " super curved" double carbon/foam core limbs Timberghost G3SS 55#at 31.5" (57.1#at 32")
185 fps for the Prana and 188 fps for the Timberghost.

I'm currently shooting a 61" Prana 2 piece, 60@31. Nothing but good to say about it. Smooth fast and quiet. I don't have a chrono so I can't give speeds but it is plenty fast. I am shooting 32" 300 spine axis with 200 up front, arrow weight about 630 grains and it really spits them out. I had always been a longbow person till I got my Prana. Now I don't pick up the longbows near as much.

Laurent,
I asked Coltin at the beginning of this week to hold a set of Black and White Ebony for mine as well. He has a riser block he showed me that is B&W as well that I told him If it's enough to go ahead and put my name on it . Glad you showed me yours because I have seen it searching his bows and wondered who did all that Robin Hooding.
Yours look very nice and Thanks for the pictures and those who have responded so far.

I shot a 61 inch Prana this past weekend at the Buckhollow shoot. It was an amazing shooting bow. The grip was perfect. One of the best grips I have ever felt on a recurve. I would love to have one. It would be a outstanding hunting setup.

Here's mine 61" Prana 50#@30" 2 piece g10 riser ,Bocote scales and accents , double carbon limbs. Like said before great grip don't have away to crono but it's plenty fast. And a great bowyer and great communication.

you should be really pleased with the Prana. I wish you as first blood with it another monster deer like that outstanding "moose antler" deer you showed us

Good memory Laurent but I'm sure that He was one of those "Once in a lifetime Bucks " and was just Blessed to be the guy in the right place at the right time .
It would be neat and another Blessing If I ever get another with a Static as He.
Here's my RER Arroyo which is 50# and I can't let that bow ever go.
I thought of getting some weight taken off but may some time down the road.
I talked to Coltin this afternoon and those Black and white veneers he put aside for me he said earlier this week and asked if I had a second choice if these didn't work out ?
He said he will know once he grinds them down if the wax they had on soaked through too much. He wants to make certain there is no issue with the glue up .
I'll post a picture of that with the Buck you were talking about . :archer:

I've got a53@30 ordered. I ordered a couple weeks ago. Coltin said it might be done in about a week. Really looking forward to shooting it!  He's a good guy to deal with.

Marc,
When you get it I sure would love to see it if you can post pictures .
I agree Coltin seems like a really down to earth type of guy .
So far every email or phone call he picks up and returns emails within a few hours or when he hasn't got glue on his hands .
What woods did you choose Marc If you don't mind me asking?

Silvertip Marc

No wood at all. G10 riser and carbon limbs with bamboo core. If you look at his gallery on the website, it's going to match a previous bow. It's the black bow with red accents

Here are a couple pics of my prana. G10 riser, takedown, bocote veneers.

Well Mark I was right behind you lol. Mine is in the truck heading to me now and should be here Sat. Here's a little "Sneak Peak" Coltin sent me last night that he took before boxing it up.[attachment=1]
