I have a Big River 21st Century clone longbow that started out 62", but ended up 60" to get the weight I wanted.  Couldn't be more pleased with this longbow.  Has a slight locator grip and moves heavy wood arrows out very well, and is my main bow at the moment.  I understand John is making few bows now and am glad I have two; this longbow and a heavy recurve.  The curve looks to be loosely patterned after a Kodiak 60" with a pistol style grip that also shoots heavy woodies very well.  I'm certain there are a few Big River fans out there.

John Makes a great bow.  I had one of his long bows for a fews years and took a nice buck with it after returning to hunting with traditional gear.

I like John's bows. They are easy to point and shoot

Never had one, but I have shot several of CyclicRivers, he had a couple of longbow and a t/d recurve, really good shooters that you rarely see come up on the classifieds !!

My first ASL was a Big River. It was a good shooter and I shot a big bodied 3 point buck with

John is a classic.  Got my first "custom" bow in a recurve, circa 1996, he tried to talk me out of that much weight.  Came through with a mid-60's# draw weight that still hunts.

I have one of John's first Kodiak models, He made it for Lamont Granger, has Lamont's name on it. 50# 60" left handed, I think it's the only 60" he made all others  were 62". Shoots fast and where I'm looking!

Didn't know that he is still making bows...according to Wudstix.... I have two of John's longbows, great bows for sure.

Wudstix

Don't know that he is making bows for sale, just an occasional one to keep active.  Along with his other duties.

Here's a picture of the "old rascal". He's in the red checkered shirt and standing behind him is his life-long Buddy Ernie Appel. Ernie left us a few years back.

I have one of his 21st century style bows and somehow lost one of the tip overlays. Does anyone know if he's around to do repairs? I'll  try to enclose a photo. Thanks!
