Nice bow!

I sure hope my bowyer isn't an overachiever. I haven't told my wife I signed up this year, and somehow the subject of prior swaps came up yesterday and I got the distinct hint that if a bow shows up before I make much more progress on getting the addition wrapped up and through inspection, my heirs will have to pass said bow along to my recipient...   :o

:scared: I will do some coordinating to have your bowyer ship at the appropriate time so you don't get dead

So I have glued up, cut and sanded Plan A backup 1's riser, cedar and maple, but it feels very light. Should Cedar be stabilized to use in a riser?

Lonnie, from everything I've been told cedar won't take resin. I think you'd want a good strong ibeam using it in a riser. I've heard of it being used for limb cores. Sounds like it takes a little more stack to get poundage but it makes a quick bow. I have never tried it but if I find a clean board I might try it.

Good info. I will look for another option and save that riser for a light draw weight bow in the future.

When you showed your riser options I thought you said you  would use a I beam?

I just finished testing my first bow swap candidate. It came in at the low end of my poor victim's weight range.

Osage and walnut and a little extra for the tips.
I have another bow waiting to be glued up. We will see how it turns out.
