Put another doe in the freezer this afternoon with my Primal Tech Recurve. The shot was at 11yds, and the arrow hit right where I was looking. The blood trail was horrible, but she only went 30yds and was easy to find.

It never ceases to amaze me how fast a deers reflexes are. This doe was a little on edge because there was a big boar there also. The shot was only 11yds, and she ducked and rolled enough that the exit hole was several inches higher than the entrance hole.

At least you weren't upside down!
Congratulations again sir!
I can afford to shoot most any bow I like.  And I like Primal Tech bows.

Car54

Good job! Do you still hunt with Bob's bows anymore?

I still have my recurve and 4 Blueridge longbows, but the only thing I'm shooting right now is the Primal Tech recurve.

Are there any deer left in Texas?! You've had a heck of a year.

There's still a few left. I'm working out a game plan on them now!

Bisch, what broadhead are you shooting now? Looks like it made a good size wound.

This one was a 1 1/8" German Kinetic. I normally use 1.5" GK for deer. That big pig was there, and was keeping all the deer at bay. I switched to the smaller head because I thought I was gonna have to "persuade" him to leave. Luckily, this doe snuck in on the opposite end of the hand corn, and I shot her with the arrow I had on the bow.

Man, we are very different.   I don't think I could ever choose to shoot a doe over a pig.
Then again I may have messed up priorities.  :biglaugh:
