For years I always told folks when they would ask if I needed cream/sugar; "Nope, my Daddy always told me 'Drink it black or drink it somewhere else'."

About age 55 I was having breakfast with my Father who was around 80 and the waitress asked if I needed cream or sugar.  I said, "Nope, my Daddy here always always told me to drink it black or drink it somewhere else."  My Dad looked at me and said, "I never even heard that before."

Told my wife the story and she stated, "See, I told you, you always make stuff up."

Anyways, I drink coffee BLACK . . . regardless of what my Dad and Wife say . . .
I Become the Tree until I Become the Arrow.
Practice - Practice - Practice - Beer.  Works for me . . .

Looking at the current situation I think it's late in the game for people to wake up..but nice plug for the coffee company!

Cream and sugar are for people who don't really like the taste of coffee.

I only want coffee in my coffee. The stuff we drank in the Navy was stiff enough to stand a spoon in.

Just add a tiny pinch of salt to your cup and it'll knock the acidity right out. Smooooth black now.

JDP; you're correct.  A good cup of coffee can't hurt.

Ron, so when you walked into the General Store in the 1800's to buy your coffee grinder, how much did it cost? Or did you just trade some gold or firs?? 😉

It cost me 1 beaver pelt for the grinder and 3# of coffee beans,

Got Jameson in mine. That might explain some things. :coffee:

Great to see a post from you. It appears as though you've been lurking and sipping on laced coffee.   :wavey:

Killie, where in the heck have you been?  Your thoughtful and beautiful posts have been missed.   :wavey:

If you want a jolt try some Espresso. I like a regular cup of Java but nothing wrong with a Chocolate Latte Espressos.

Tajue17
