Strong black coffee is the only way for me to properly start the day. I knew I had my brew just right when my retired Marine boss highly complimented the way I make it.

Strong and black is a proper cup of coffee, imo.
Just received my backwoods grind beans and looking forward to a fresh ground cup in the am. That's a good looking coffee mug Ron.

When I was really young, I heard my mom say that a good cup of coffee would dissolve the bottom half of a horseshoe as it floated on top. I wondered if there existed a cup big enough to fit a horseshoe.

I need it to have caffeine in it, preferably strong enough that I might question if it was made from Columbian coca leaves

. I'll do it black if its strong enough or Im in the field, I hate watery black coffee. Otherwise among civilization I like at least cream in it to mellow the acidity. I also generally drink it over ice. If Im drinking hot coffee most other folks around me have already frozen to death
