Fellas, I hate to be the one to tell ya but it's 25 degrees with a chill factor of 13 this am here in sunny Texas.  I'm packing to move to the equator in case this is an ice age.  Dang I hate global warming.

It's 14 deg with a wind factor of -1 here today. I started shoveling at 5:30 AM this morning and just came in (8:00 AM) to warm up and put some dry clothes on. As soon as my clothes in the dryer are done it's back out to try and dig out the car and truck. So far I have one lane about a third of the way shoveled. Dang 4' drifts! They are reporting drifts as high as 15'(yes feet)on some of the roads. All the counties around here declared state of emergency.

I'll take sunny, 25 degrees, and no snow over this mess and day! It is suppose to get cold tomorrow. How far is Texas from here???   :)

There is a 18 degree windchill in Sunny San Antonio

OH at work

Up at 3 am this morning in 9 degree weather to dig 3 feet of snow off of the driveway so I could get into work.  Finally getting my money's worth out of that 4X4    :banghead:

Just checked the Laredo forcast, highs in the 60-80's and lows in the 40-60's for this week and it is a couple weeks till the Journal hunt. Mike, you are way too far north, almost a Yankee!

Pat B.

Oh man, you guys better bring plenty of warm clothes... In two weeks it's liable to be down in the low 70's. I can't wait until July and August, it's too dam cold here, even the rattlesnakes are sluggish, lol..

Walt Francis

Highs in the 60-80's, that sounds a little warm.  If the lows, 40-60's, were the high and it was overcast (I hate hunting with sunglasses), that would be comfortable hunting weather.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

I take it Al Gore is not your personal weather advisor?   :biglaugh:

Hey Brian,
That little green tractor is cute!

Here is what we used.

Don't accept your dog's admiration as conclusive evidence that you are wonderful.

Good thing we're heading way south of you Mike. Of course anything above 50 will be a welcome experience for this weary snow mover.

Woke up to another half a foot. Got that cleared off the drive, made the walkway presentable for the UPS guy and even poured hot water on the mailbox to melt the ice that fell last night so it would open for the mailman. Came in for lunch, filled some orders and watched another half a foot cover up everything I just did.

Need to go get gas for the tractor. Karen and the girls have not had school the last two days. They're entirely too excited about the thought of a ride out of here to the gas station    "[dntthnk]"

C'mon Goose, you know it's not the size that matters...

1.  Take a GPS.  All that south Tejas ground looks the same

2.  Take a pair of driving gloves.  Every time I go I regret not having a pair when I have to start crawling back into the brush.

3.  If you are out in the middle of nowhere and unexpected visitors ask you for directions, smile harmlessly and point in a direction OTHER than the one you are heading in....

Have a good time, Brian.  Look forward to reading about the trip.

I suppose I should feel sorry for all you southern boys, but the temps you guys are complaining about would be warm up here in Northwest Wisconsin. 10 for a high today lo tonite -12. Makes me laugh though my daughter moved to Tennessee last month. I haven't had the snow blower out yet this winter.
Wish you all good luck and warmer weather in Texas.

Yep, it's real warm in S. Texas right now.  Should get even warmer weekend.  This Global Warming thing is really getting on my nerves   :bigsmyl:      :bigsmyl:   ...Van

Yep,it's colder than a witch's heart down her in Galveston this morning !

Shaun

An ice storm in TX! I bet there is some creative driving going on down there. When it does that here in Iowa every one drives to town for a gallon of milk. I'll give you one week to clear that mess up and get ready for some snowbirds with bows.

Bodork

Woke up to 5 degrees this morning. Now it's 2! Oh well, I get to wait 'till 10 a.m. before I have to go in so it can warm up a bit! Can't wait to start landscaping  today! High should be a balmy 20.

wingnut

Yep 22 degrees right now with a wind chill of 10.  Snowed for hours yesterday but the wind blew so hard I think it accumulated in NM.

Gotta go find more clothes so I can head to the shop.  Thinking about putting in a guide rope to the shop door in case the snow comes back.

Yep nice and warm here in TX alright.  Thinking about playing golf. . .if I can figure a way to keep my balls from freezing.

LOL
