Yep, been there done that.

Gotta watch those coarse grits. They remove material (and flesh) pretty quick.

Several times I've given myself a quick and unintentional manicure with a disk sander. Fortunately I haven't hit the flesh yet - only the nail.

I have taken parts of my knuckles off 3 or 4 times on a 36 grit belt when I was day dreaming, this kind of injury takes at least a month to heal because all the flesh is gone and you have to grow new.

The Bow God, Sandicus is giving you a little reminder to be careful so that when his brother Sawsucras is unhappy you won't make the same mistake with him...

The Sanders only get you so bad. But I'm always apprehensive around my saws. Ended up buying one of these gadgets today so hopefully I'll use my table saw some more. [attachment=1]

Since a knot hole was mentioned I allow myself to tell a knot hole joke. We need to lighten up these gloomy Corona times. Well, here goes. A furniture maker was about to hire a young apprentice and he wanted to see how smart he was. He told the apprentice to watch the shop while he was out for a while. After a while he telephoned his shop and the young apprentice picked up the phone. The furniture maker then asked if they sold knot holes, the answer was yes we do. He then asked what do you use the knot holes for and the apprentice said, we use them as a- - holes in the wooden horses. He got the job.
Maybe funny :)
