My thoughts and prayers for Chad
I'm drinking from a saucer, cause my cup has overflowed.

gifford, MO

Very sad news, Chad was a fine gentleman, bowyer, and father. I met him years ago at MoJAM and enjoyed a very fine visit. Prayers sent for his family. Sad news indeed.

I am so sad to hear this news.  Chad was an outstanding person and bowyer and has had such a great and positive impact on the bowhunting community.  Chad helped me significantly when I started making bows and we stayed in contact ever since. Prayers for his family and friends.  We will miss you my friend.

Skunk Man texted me this news yesterday and I'm still in shock. What a great man Chad was.

I can't believe he's gone.
I just chatted with him last week.
I was one of the lucky ones, I met chad in 07 and since then was fortunate enough to have gotten to design and build several bows with him, go to NALS with him and Jacob and host him for a couple hunting trips.  I have harvested my last 7 or 8 deer with a River Runner prototype.  He was a good guy and a great friend, I'll never forget him.

It's hard to muster up the words.
I've had the opportunity to spend some quality time with Chad and Amy going back 10 years.
They stayed at my house when they traveled to archery events.
I got to go to their private fishing lake where their old cabin still remains.
Chad and Shane - his twin brother - and I got our MN carry permits together.
Chad and I traded a custom knife for one of his Osprey bows.
And, of course, I was a repeat attendee at his infamous bow weekend - which is also where I met you, Tod.
Madison and Jacob have obviously grown into some high quality young adults - the product of two loving parents - Chad and Amy.
His shoes will not be filled.
I offer my heart-felt condolences to his family and all of his close friends.
Rest in peace, brother of the bow.

I never met Chad but I knew of him as a great bowyer and friend to many. My condolences to his family for their loss. Prayers are sent

I've been very busy at work, so I didn't see this until today.

Chad was very helpful in answering questions about a used Osprey that he had made, and even remembered me years later when I ordered a new Holm-Made t-shirt a few months ago. I was even wearing that shirt today when I read the news. {8^(

So sorry to hear this. Only met Chad a few times but know him to be a good man, father and bowhunter. Seems like the good Lord must have needed a good bow made, that seems the only explanation.
To his family, I'm so sorry for your loss.
Good huntin Chad, you'll be missed MUCH.

Wow, I can't believe I am reading this. I spoke to him many times on the phone and have exchanged tons of emails. He built a custom stunning River Runner for me years ago as well. His bows are absolutely top notch and he was always a very kind person. We got super close to hunting together in S. Texas one season. So sorry to hear this.

Today was the opener in Georgia. I choose to carry my River Runner that Chad made for himself but missed weight so he sold it. I bought it used, when I left I shot an arrow with his name on it into the heavens. I know he was smiling down on me!! I know he is in good hunting grounds and sitting at a campfire with some of the greats that passed before him.

I'm sure Chad is enjoying the company he is with.

Ron, and all,
Chad had a great following here in the Sioux City, Iowa area.  In all, I think at least 15 of his bows were bought by our trad group of around 6 archers.  I own 3 of them.  We are all greatly saddened by his passing and have sent Amy and the Holm family our condolences.
Ron, I too will be carrying Chad's bows this fall in his honor and remembrance.  I think it would be great to start a thread with pictures and stories of Chad's bows in action.

Wow!  What terrible news.  His bows always looked sweet.  Real master of the craft!  Rip, Chad holm

This one is for you Chad.
soon after hearing about Chad's passing I had decided to myself to dedicate this year to him.
Chad and I had hunted some together but not nearly enough.
The other day I was blessed to have this guy come by right at the end of legal shooting time and got lucky.
