Hey Guys,

I was just wondering if anyone is shooting or hunting with a Dave Miller Split Bamboo longbow?  Your thoughts and any pictures would be appreciated as well.

Thanks,

Roger

I was curious about this thread so I decided to read some of the comments on this bow model and bowyer. It's on my hit list

Might want to hurry up. I heard he was retiring from bow making

Thanks, Gunner, I'm trying I emailed him but I haven't heard back from him yet.  I think I will try calling him on Monday to talk with him.

I have a Miller.  It isn't the split bamboo, it is the Old Tom.  Dave makes a fine longbow based off of the Schulz design.  I doubt you will be disappointed.

Thanks Bucknut I appreciate your input, I really like the lines and look of his bows they remind me of my Schulz bows that I had.  I bet that Old Tom shoots great!  I saw John shooting at the Pennsyvania Bowhunters Festival in Forksville and he was deadly!  I am going to call Dave on Monday and talk with him.

Missouri Bowman

I've got a Sage, a string follow bow. Built very nice with a clear finish like glass. Pulls about the same as a comparable Hill, but speed seems to be less, not that it matters. I don't be experience any handshock with Hill bows or this one.
