Wood arrows

If you like tinkering than you will love wood arrow and there are a lot of folks that will learn you on them. You can PM me and I will be more than happy to past on what I have learned. Remember wood has soul and Carbon sorcery  :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

No two types of wood are the same. If you get a test kit for Douglas Fir and get your arrows flying well, then later you want to try POC, they probably will not match. Hickory for example, is very heavy and you probably will have to go up in spine to handle the extra weight up front. Wood is great for arrows but it is a different world when you are shooting them. Once you get them dialed in, you should be quite pleased. Especially if you make your own! I would definitely recommend the Doug Fir from Surewood. They seem to really have it figured out. If you talk to them, they will send you what you need.
