thanks guys...

ztonz....   here is a pic of that design...  your standard r/d bow...  i don't post pics of the whole bow any more because most have seen it and it's nothing new...

bue...  i thought it was purple and my girl at the time said it was not...  so after a little discussion she said look, this is purple and she showed me a sample of the color...  she was right...   :biglaugh:  so i called this color wine...

excuse my penmanship...  my computer got issues and my capitols don't work so well...

That is a good design, I bet a speed in excess of 190 feet with 9 grains pr pound bow weight

Don't mean to hijack your thread Shredd, but your bow and one of mine looks quite the same, I think.

skeaterbait

I dunno Bue, yours looks a lot more European.
Skeater who?

Nice looking bows guys.

I finally got a string on my first take down. Seems to be pretty quick and quiet. But may just be "new bow syndrome".  :biglaugh:

One thing I've noticed. After I assemble the bow....the first time I draw it back I hear a click, then it is good from there on out. Is this common?

I put a rubber/fiber gasket between riser and limbs and put wax on pins.

That bow certainly is bending good. I been using potty ring wax between the pads and limbs and on the pins.
Always use a new one  :bigsmyl: or it smells like hiney ho.

Nice one Bvas. I like the bend. What taper are you using?

Buemaker

Bvas

Thanks fellas.

Z-The bow has .003 taper, but has wider tips (9/16" at grooves) than normal for me.

Built a new target stand today. Just have a few holes to drill for my 3D woodchuck and skunk.

Do you have a fetish for skunks?

I put together my bday present from Mrs., Limb profiling just got a little easier. I have an oscillating spindle/belt sander that I have always used and could never keep a straight line on it. This should help.

Now, if I could just find some time to build a bow again.

Nice, yer gonna love that Lonnie.

I have the same thing but with the longer table.

But it does like to eat fingers and knuckles right down to the bone:)
