Norbert when the hooks start getting hookier  :bigsmyl: no more than.001 forward taper. and stablecore. keeps a bit more meat in the base of the hook where you need it. Now you go to getting really hooky then you need carbon to keep them straight.
Come on Kenny it will be fun   :biglaugh:

Hoping to get a string on it tomorrow.

Nice looking profile. What angle are your limb pads?

Crooked Stic

13 degrees. maybe a little flat. But works greart on original limb.

This is a bow for those that are worried about misplacing it in the field!. Had the block from Kenny couple years and never did any thing with it and as I had bit of epoxy left in the cans, I threw this together.Bow is a Kenny design deflex/reflex and is 64'' ntn and 37# @ 28'' Belly veneers are an Aussie wood called Mackay Cedar.Red glass on back.

Looks right to me.  I just made a form from a bow I have that I like and it looks like it takes 24 degrees.  Big differences!

Bigbob I expect if Roy is even looking anymore he will want that pinkish bow

Stic, will be interesting to see it with a string on.
Bob, some wild colors, I like it.

On lunch break. I am pretty pleased with how this turned out. the visual look is smoother then I thought it would be. It did not offer to go sideways at all and needs a bit weaker bottom limb
. Shot about 6 arrows and pretty quite with the B50 build string. Will do a full draw when closer to done.

Can I see a limb width picture? ;)

Nice profile. Looks similar to the prototype I just made.  50s style that works on my standard longbow riser, so they are interchangeable. It has a limb pad angle of 10 degrees.  Mine is 62" though.

That is nice Norbert.

My limb width is 1.625 at the butts and tapers the last 10 in. to about 11/16s at the string groove. Put the stick in it a little bit ago. It is 29 there. For a longer draw prolly need a bit more angle on the pads.

Looking great. At 29 inches the string is not much open. Does it feel smoother than the previous design ?

the draw feels about the same. this will be fine for my draw length. for more than 29 might need a 62 in bow. Gonna put a little longer wedge in the next set.Straight taper a working wedge. the base coats revealed parts that took more dye than others===== interesting.

Thanks hope to get it top coated today.

Thats a seriously grainy looking base coat. Looks like 60 grit. Is that sprayed T-bird?

Crooked Stic

Nope out of T bird. Its brush on lacquer sprayed on. Will steel wool it before Krystal dull top goat matte.
