We had joked about making jerky in mass in it.  Imagine how wonderful the bows would smell.  Mmm teriyaki and dell sauce.

You are a brave man Stic.
Nice hot box. Is it okay to have such a fan inside the box, gets pretty hot in there?

Scored a nice one man lean to ladder stand for $35. It's 14' tall. Who all hunts out of ladder stands, and do you have any issues getting picked off by deer? I've already got it set up in the yard and shooting out of it. Best $35 I've spent!

:biglaugh: I figured if you've seen one you've seen them all. But I'll get you a picture this afternoon!

Stick I'm having a hard time figuring out the place you cut that bow in half like that ? , could you explain more.

Mark R

It looks like the cut was made right under the shelf but maybe its not what it looks like in the picture.

I started working on a take down handle. I want to work on my limbs design and figured it would be faster to do a pair of limb for each design modification instead of a whole new bow each time.
It's 17" long. Next step is to shape the templates.

Here ya go monterey.

Brian you want to relieve material about 3/8s under where your shelf will be. And shape the grip to where its comfortable then 1/8th smaller. so you need off center G10 for strength ibeam. Then cut into at an angle below the finger grooves. On U tube Big Jim has the videos. watch them if you want to do one.

That's nifty.  I  don't climb up trees anymore but that could be an option in some areas that require tree stands.

Mad Max

If you are Archery hunting you need to be up higher unless you have a very heavy background behind you.
I hunted at 25' up.

I try to get a CWD deer every year but they always test out negative.   Any tips? :)

Last time I fell out of a treestand it was eight feet and that seemed high enough.

Working on a place in the basement to do bow lay ups so I can do more building during cold weather.
