Shredd

nice sander, mark... hope it works well for you...

Your sander looks excellent Mark  Did you make a channel on the table for your sled to ride in?
Looks like you have some good company also!

Yesterday I made a couple strings for bows going out next week.  And cut in the sight window on a one piece longbow.  Should have been hunting.

Thanks for all the comments. I did put a couple rails on the table to keep the sled in the middle. I am anchoring the sanding paper on the drum with a #10 screw on each end, so the screw heads stand proud of the drum surface and the sled needs to stay centred to not get gouged up.

Isn't that most days, though?  :cheesy:

Made some awfully purty veneers outta some osage and a gizmo to clamp my form into for glue ups. Took one other bow out of form cleaned up and retaped it ready for layout. Dey fit and glue another up tomorrow. That one will be 62", solid osage riser with osage veneers. Just cuz im kinda got a thing for osage.

Made a spark arrestor for my dust collection out of some random stuff I had forgot to put in the garbage. Got to grind some metal sometimes and never used it for fear of a wood dust explosion.

The mad scientist at work, is it OSHA approved?

I bought myself a present. I needed a pick me up after the week I had.
Got rear ended on Monday (my truck, not me🤔), then a pipe burst in the house on Wednesday, and dealing with a drama queen at work.

Getting better already bud. I made out a police report for the truck and got a claim into the insurance company.
The water damage wasn't as bad as it could have been. It missed my books that are stored in the basement, and yesterday, I finally got mad at the drama queen and he might have quit. This guy was hired less than two months ago and he thought he ran the shop. The guys I work with are a good bunch. Big relief!
If it's not raining this weekend I'll try out the saw. 😁

I already have a reputation as a grumpy old fart.
I just told him to do his job and he stormed off in a huff. Left a truck driver who was waiting for some paperwork and went home. 😢
