Well deserved!!! Great guy, great company, great service... Congrats!
Sorry I missed it. Kind of got away from reading those magazines (other than when I'm waiting at a dealership, etc.) as they really devote little attention to traditional archery or blue-collar hunting, in my humble opinion. Maybe things've changed a bit and that's awesome they took notice of your successes! I'll be sure to check it out.

Mad Max

I picked up the Mag. yesterday on the way home.
Nice to see Traditional Archery in the spotlight.
Nice going Jim

I will definitely be picking up a copy of that Field & Stream. Here is a big congrats from a "medium sized Jim" to "Big Jim"!  :clapper:

Congrats!

Also, before you all run out to buy a magazine. Your local tax dollars may have already purchased a digital version you can read right now from your computer. Check your local library's website. Most offer digital access to books and popular magazines. Mine had access to this issue through RBdigital Reader.

Flingblade

Started reading it yesterday at the dentist's office but didn't get to finish.  I'm going to pick up a copy at the store so I can finish the article.  Congrats Big Jim!  That's a pretty nice doggie pool your Chessie has!

Thanks ya'll. I enjoyed doing it. The photographer must have taken a thousand pictures and really tested how long I could hold the bow at full draw.
Flingblade, I had let my sweet girl DeeDee out of her yard to let her get in the A/C and she made a Bee line to the pool. I guess 30 minutes every morning isn't enough for her. She has a love love relationship with that brick that resembles a ball and does her best to sink it. I believe I keep that pool up strictly for her!

Great article! It's great to see trad recognized in a mainstream outdoors publication this way.

Young marine, nice library plug! It's a great reminder.

I just finished reading. Trad archery could not ask for a better representative that Big Jim. He built my TC from wood I sent him from my land. Thanks Jim. [attachment=1]

I saw that. I quit subscribing to it ten years ago, and the first one I opened up again had a feature of Big Jim! I couldn't believe it. A traditional archer.

Just think of the people who have been featured in that magazine since it's birth in the 1880's. Over a hundred years worth of legendary hunters have appeared in it. Not to mention the fact that a traditional bowyer has made it into there. That right there is monumental. This article is literally planting the traditional seed into the minds of a whole generation of compound shooters right now. Think how many of them are field and stream readers.

Congratulations BigJim. Picked up a copy yesterday. I'll have to read when I get of the stand tonight.
