I used to use the Nocking Point but their site is down. I have a kids 50 3/4" Osage selfbow that I am almost finished with but I need a string.

If you build the self bows you should learn how to make the strings, very easy to make.
I sure someone here can make one for you.

Jim, once you learn to make strings you'll wonder why you didn't earlier. It is a simple process once you get the reverse twist thing.

Happy to make a string for a kids bow anytime. That said, several good sources on You Tube that can have you twisting up your own in no time. I would suggest making a board jig that is similar to this. I actually made mine about 4' long and eliminated the need to double back at the end. The longer the board, the less back and forth pattern you will have to do to get the length you want. Get some inexpensive B55 material to play with, and go at it. You will also want to purchase a string serving tool.

I saw where some fast flight strings were selling for more than $35 each, you can make a B-50 for less than a dollar and a fast flight for a couple of bucks.

Like Pat said, once you learn how you will wonder what the great mystery is that keeps people from making their own strings. Start with B-50 because you will mess up a couple learning how to twist up the loops.

I made my jig with feet to put between my knees so I can sit in a chair with the jig on my lap and comfortably make strings. My jig is 30 years old, no telling how many strings I have made on it.

Cool. What is the adjustable peg for?

You use the peg to make different length strings.

So the jig is just for measuring, making and cutting the bundles, correct? Does anyone have a pattern/drawing with all of the measurements?
