I usually start my arrow rest about 1 1/2 " above center and end about 1 1/4  but the reason I'm asking the question is I have been using shorter and shorter risers so I was thinking of droping the rest height maybe 3/4-1" above center to gain a bit more sight window any thoughts or where are you guys setting yours ?

My latest design has a 13.5 riser. I go 1 1/4

When I set up a selfbow I put my middle finger at the center of the handle and mark the arrow pass at the top of my hand, about 1 1/2" above center.

I cut mine at 1 3/8"...  By the time it is radiused and sanded in it is probably about 1 5/16"....

Thanks every body looks like I'm staying between 1 1/8" & 1 1/4"  on a 12" riser it looks doable but tight for the riser design !

Go down 5/8" from center with the grip, and go up 5/8" from center with the shelf :bigsmyl:
1-1/4" sounds good to me
I would rather fail at something above my means, than to succeed at something  beneath my means
