I like the fact you personally know the owner.
The guy is super honest and super conscientious. I did not know him before I bought a drill from him and discussed some design details. Mark is very interested in customer input. Throughout the process we became friends.
I don't receive anything for advocating his products. I am not paid in any way.
That being said...I have not tried his pruners yet, so I have no opinion on their quality. This is just an overall statement on the Treehopper company and owner.

Even more impressive.

I recently purchased an EZ-Kut pruner, but did not like how much effort it took to lock the blades together.  For the price they just weren't worth it, so I returned them unused.  The owner of the company called me a few days later, and actually berated me, insisting that that I was wrong about the locking system.  More than a month after receiving the unused pruners, he still has not credited my card.

I then bought the Felco 160L pruner that Kevin Dill discussed.  These are not ratching pruners, but are of very high quality.  With these, I don't have a need for ratcheting pruners.

I've owned a pair of Florians for years, and used them for hanging stands.  After the Felcos arrived, I threw the Florians in a dumpster.
