That is good to hear Roy.  Surgery should be the last resort.  Glad the surgeon didn't push it.
The human body is pretty remarkable (even yours Roy) in it's ability to heal itself.

Good to hear Roy.
I work with two guys that have both had 2 back surgeries. I hear them b#$*%*# every day about back problems. I go to the Chiropractor about every 4 weeks. No surgery needed.

Yeah Buddy...  Surgery is the last thing you want...  The right exercise and stretching can do wonders...  Plus some of the other things the guys mentioned like a nice massage and good chiropractor...

30 years ago an orthopedic surgeon told me MRI and back surgery. When I told him I had poor insurance he sent me to physical therapy, thank goodness, and even though I've had episodes over the years exercise and giving the problem time to work out and taking Ibuprofen for pain and as an anti-inflammatory I'm in relatively good shape for being almost 69. I cut, split and stack 5 to 6 cords of wood each year for heat, do carpenter work along with other household chores....nock on wood!

I split wood too, Pat.

But I got smart and bought me an electric 7 ton log splitter:)

My downfall is lifting heavy things.

While splitting logs last fall, I lifted a 100 pound log up 30 inches onto the splitter.

Been doing dumb stuff like that for years.

At 70 years old and 165 pounds,  I shouldn't be lifting things like that.

Sounds like you need your head examined first, Roy.  :bigsmyl:

Hmmm I would be worried if I had a head like that and it did not hurt.

That is good news old Roy. I think it probably is the jerky, I know it makes me feel like a spry young feller again.
