Sorry if this is the wrong place for this, but i don't see any "camp" forum.  I've been the camp cook for our elk & deer camps for almost a decade, and decided to share a recipe that goes very well with steaks on the first or second nights in camp.  All credit goes to Tahoe Joe's steakhouse, from which I pirated it!
dice up thick sliced bacon depending on how many in camp, and begin to sautee in your skillet.  I use a large Lodge cast iron skillet for this.  While this is cooking, dice up half a white onion, and half a red bell pepper.  First toss in the onion, then after maybe 5 minutes, toss in the red bell pepper.  After you've nipped the string ends off your fresh string beans, throw them in as well, adding salt and garlic powder.  Mix well.  Throw in a little less than a quarter cup of water, and immediately put on the lid to let the beans steam.  you'll need to toss the mix several times during the steaming process, but the water should boil off completely.  I serve it with mashed potatoes, some good t-bones, and after that, it's "BYO" libations.  Hope you enjoy it!

Can you scale that down to fit in the titanium pot I pack in to cook out of?  Mostly live out of a 1900 c.i. Badlands Diablo pack.
