easton aftermath or axis

my better half is on her way to the UK and i am going to order some arrows. i am looking at the easton aftermath as they seem very reasonably priced and tough. the axis are a tried shaft and a no brainer.
my question is that - is there a huge difference in the two shafts ? do they use the same components in that does the aftermath accept the standard broadheads.

The Aftermath is a 6mm arrow and uses H-components/nocks and the Axis is a 5mm shaft, uses internal HIT components and X-nocks. Both will accept standard 8/32 thread points/broadheads.

With her going to the UK, you should be authorized to buy a bunch of each type arrow and run your own exhaustive comparison.

There are two factors to consider -
1) the number of different arrow shafts I am willing to stock . At present I have axis , black eagle vintage, arrow dynamics , ics bowhunters and some no name carbons in stock. The plethora of nocks and inserts is getting troublesome.

2) carrying these from the UK. She can very well carry a dozen or two of one type but more will be an issue. Even then an arrow tube may have to be used as they are unlikely to fit in the check in and unlikely to be allowed in carry on luggage.

I had posted a comparison of the arrow types I had sometime back. Nothing like the accuracy Terry or other folks have done though.

Hi! Those aftermath shaft are very popular in here, Finland. I have used them in trad bows and those wheeles bows. IMHO, they are good value to money.

For the price the aftermaths are a tough shaft to beat, I got a dozen in 2016 and robinhooded one, lost several goofing off at long range, but only ever broke one. I still have three of the original dozen that shoot very well.

Thanks a ton. I have been having some form issues and had to re learn my entire shot sequence. That led to a gain in dl and the axis with a broadhead on does not allow me full draw. That coupled with easy availability of stainless hardware and adapters for my setup lead me to opt for Black eagle Vintage.
Would be great if I could have used the aftermath.
They are priced so nice.

I've used aftermaths your years, for the money you can't beat them. I've lost count of the animals taken with them.

Another fan of the Aftermaths here, for the price I haven't found anything better, I prefer them to some more expensive shafts. They will be very similar to your ICS Bowhunters, slightly smaller diameter but they still use a standard insert as another member mentioned. I've found them to be very durable.
