Anyone have any problems with gasket lacquer as a finish on their wood arrows?  I bought some cedars prefinished from a well known supplier recently and after a short period of shooting them in to a block target the finish on the front of the arrow is completely gone.  I'm pretty disappointed and wondering if there is something I can do to prevent it on the other arrows.

Upsetting1  I know I'd start by contacting your 'well know supplier' and tell them of your issue and seek their advise/resolution.  Been shooting wood arrows into my white block target for years without that issue.  I wish you well.

I was thinking that as well but wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something, never used gasket lacquer and I always finished my own arrows with spar...figured I'd make life a little easier this time and buy some prefinished and crested arrows.

Wear is one reason I stopped using GL. I used to re-dip the tip ends if the arrows lasted that long.
