My name is coming up any day now and I'm going with a 60" Falcon 45@30" with spalted mango veneers and buckeye burl riser. I originally thought I would want a beavertail grip, but now I don't think I want to cover up that pretty work of art. I'm now thinking stippled grip. I would like to see pictures of your javaman bows so I can get some ideas. I am especially interested in horn overlays and finger grooves in the riser. To get or not to get? So many wonderful options on a true once in a lifetime bow.

It looks that you'll have a killer looking bow there.

I'm at work now,but I'll post some pics of an Assyrian I bought off the classifieds when I get home.

I'm on order for a Impala Supreme. He said February,I might give him a call.

Alexander Traditional

Here's the Assyrian I have. I think the riser is cocobola dymond wood and the limbs are curly etiome.

Really like this one. Is this buckeye burl in the riser?

Greg make a great bow and is a true artist in his trade.

Is it true that horn overlays peel up or crack over time? Someone told me that the other day and it has made me think twice about ordering them on my bow.

Thanks, Heck, I've had so many bows I can't remember the woods.  I think it is gray stained curly maple. It is a Triple carbon and really zips an arrow. Quiet as a mouse fart too. As far as the horn lam's goes I haven't had issues with either of mine. My other elkheart has the finger grooves and horn lam and I really like it.

Gregg sent me this today. He has my veneers in his possession. Hopefully not too much longer and he'll start the build. [attachment=3,msg2856913]

I also found this picture today of an elkheart he made. Really digging this stippled grip[attachment=1,msg2856913]
