Been shooting 40ish lbs for several years now and have used a lot of different heads and think the 3 blade VPA are about as perfect a head as you could want.  Easy to sharpen, penetrates like crazy and good blood trails vs a 2 blade. Shooting the 160's on my sherwoods and have been impressed..... :thumbsup:

yeager

A lot of great broadheads out there to choose from. Another great would be the old Bear razorhead.....been shooting them since the early 1970's and they haven't failed me yet.

Of course I tend to be biased, but the MEATHEAD would be great on a Sitka shaft.
I have buried a MEATHEAD into a 4x4 post from 15yards with a 41# bow. Also killed a big doe last year with a set up on carbon shaft tipped with a MEATHEAD using a 41# recurve. Passed completely through the animal.
Tuffheads are definitely solid chunks of steel.  Helped a friend did one out of a tree and I swear he could've shot an animal with it fresh out of the wood.

All bow pounds are not equal. I have no problem with 3-blade heads in the "hot" 41# recurve I've been shooting, but I would go with a 2-blade on a self bow. Whatever, it must cut to the tip for the best penetration. I've shot through more than one with a Delmar 3-blade and even Snuffers out of the 41# recurve. It tunes to 65-70# shafts cut to 29", with medium-weight heads. The stiffness of the arrow the bow tunes properly to is a better indicator of the energy it's putting out than the pounds it takes to pull it

Another nod to the Tuffheads and Meatheads, great products made by great people!

Zwickey-Fever

Zwickey Delta or Eskimo 2 blade will meet your needs, but a ACE broadhead is hard to beat. I favor the Zwickeys myself, but my rig is slightly different than yours. I would try all three and see which one you can get the best arrow flight and penetration. The money you spent on three packs of different broadheads will be the last thing on your mind when hunting, or when game is in front of you. Money well spent.
Now therefore take, I pray thee, thy weapons, thy quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field, and take me some venison;
