When my release is clean, it rips out chunks of beard like cheap velcro.

I can feel Roger's quiver from 200 miles away when I inserted these babies in my quiver tonight. Paul Jalon of Elite Arrows makes these for Ron LaClair and in my humble (except when talking smack about Roger) opinion there's no finer arrowsmith.  These gems spin like an aluminum arrow.

These will actually be 570 grains with my 185 grain Grizzly broadheads.  About 12 grains per pound from my Lil Favorite Super Shrew.

Looking forward to bagging a turkey in a month and an Irishman in sbout four months.

Bringing this back up top, it's been pretty quiet lately.  Must be some top secret planning, and practicing going on!!!  Only a few more weeks until the dust will clear and we see who is the first runner up, the only winner will be the kids at St Jude with all the donations you all get.  Looking forward to being a witness to the greatness!!!

Well, the great match is imminent.  From a competition standpoint there's Chef Greg Nicolaou's pepper shooters and my cherry pie on the line.  There will be contributions to St. Jude's Children Hospital in the name of Shrewhaven Shootoff.  We will 'Charlie Lamb' style reveal the story and results, so those wishing to contribute or 'wager' on team Lyon or team Norris, we'd encourage you to do so.

Of course this little pie is hand made with butter crust and tart cherries picked and pitted by yours truly from my family's 6 generations cherry farm.  I'm biased of course, but my grandfather always said 'if you're going to grow fruit, grow the best damn fruit in the land'
