Been wanting to pursue javalina for some time now...finally made the trip earlier this month to southern AZ.

After this trip, I don't think it will be my last...had a great time and really enjoyed chasing these critters...a really neat little animal to observe and hunt.

Tag was good for two.
Took this nice boar and a nice little sow a few days later.

Shot was about 12 yards.

Ya unseasonably cold...we pushed snow most of the ways down and it snowed two inches the first day we arrived...that's east of Tucson mind you

Didn't seem to bother them through...saw quite a few

Very nice. They are a fun hunt. The spot and stalk aspect really makes it special.

Nice job Jake. It looks quite balmy there. It was -28 here when I got up this morning.

Early January was unseasonably warm, now we are approaching record lows. It's like I live in Iowa or something...
