I think I need to lengthen my sight window a bit so my overlay looks more even. Other than that she's ready for final sanding and finish.

Roy from Pa

Maybe on structions:)

I dunno Travis, maybe so, maybe not.

Just bragging rights and whatever the opposite is.

And Trav, wow!

It's to cold and snowy here to do anything else. I have a lot of sanding left plus filling all that Wenge grain.

That's sweet Travis, you over achiever you.

Here's the dust collection Roy.

So that dust is an all Dust Deputy unit. Is that  two horse motor. And blowing the air outside. What did it set you back?
Lonnie I am betting you can drill the heads off that bolt and maybe heat it slow and a good pair of vise grips may move it. If not saw it flush and drill it like Roy said. If you get the limb off you can always build another riser.

It's the popular harbor freight 2hp bag type dust collector.  I only used the blower and motor from it.  That connects to the dust deputy which I mounted to an old feeder barrel.  Exhauste outside.  The heavy dust falls from the cyclone to the barrel and the fine harmful particles are exhausted outside.
$170 for the DC w/ 20% off coupon and the cyclone was like $180.  Lol. Paid more for the plastic dust deputy.

Skeat, that is too bad. When gluing up something I always tell myself to double check, but still I mess up sometimes. My latest was getting saran wrap between the glass and wood. :banghead:
Nice looking risers David and Yew is always nice.
4 point, almost finished, looking great.

Time to drill holes, yak I don't like it. I am putting brass bushings in limb holes. Fingers crossed.

Roy from Pa

Bue, that is so so very sharp.

Ben, not sure how well that works?

I bought one of those blower assy's and it didn't do hardly anything for me.

They supposedly are for "moving air/fine dust" like you have it setup for though.

It did nothing when connected to my tools.

But with my shop vac connected to the dust deputy, 99.99% goes into the dust deputy and practically "nothing" goes into the shop vac.

Travis you are a genius, I knew heat would do it but it never crossed my mind to use a conduit to avoid direct heat to the bolt. Thank you.
