Hello everyone,

My name is Samuel and I am not sure if I everyone introduced myself here (might have been a while ago).
I use to shoot a lot of saplings bow as a child. I came back to archery about 6 years ago with the objective of hunting.

Since i got really curious about bow building and I am really grateful to you guys for all the information available on this board. I bilt my first glass D/R bow 2 years ago starting with Kennys' drawings on wich I added some reflex.

Right now I just finished the mold for a new design with more deflex and more reflex. I also want to put a supermam in my stack but the jig I built for it is giving me trouble.

So i just wanted to introduce myself and say thank you
Samuel

What kind of trouble?

When i tried grounding a lam with this jig, the lam came out quite far from what i expected. I was aiming at 2,2mm thickness on the handle side of the lam, 1mm in the middle, and 2mm at the tip end.
What I got was:
Handle end: 1,6mm
Middle : 1mm
Tip end : 1,4mm

(Sorry for the mesurment in mm, not used to inches yet for thickness)

I bilt my jig with 2 pieces of plywood. I glued in between thickness gauge with the desired thickness every 4 inch.
I don't know what went wrong

Here are my jig and setup

Welcome I just picked up a supperlam sled from Kenny havent had a chance to try it yet but he could easely make you one !
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!

Did you run the plywood thru the sander to make sure it was even before gluing the jig up?
Some hunt to survive; some survive to hunt
