I'd start reducing the belly and get it to low brace to see how the string tracks under stress. Once there you can always reheat and straighten more if and where needed.
Make the most of all that comes and the least of all that goes!

Been working on my first self bow for a while. About 1.5 years and just been working on it here and there. I am getting the bug to work on it again. I encountered a bunch of issues with this stave but am renewed in my efforts to finish it.  I am currently floor tillering it but have some serious propeller twist to work out. Here are some pics of it in it's current state. Hard to believe this was a hunk of tree with the bark on it.  Done all the work this far with a draw knife and a rasp.

Bow is 60" right now and layed out for 3 under. Hoping to hit a draw weight in the 60-70# range.

Here it when I got it. And shave horse that I free handed out of scrap wood. Gonna make some shavings fly today.
