That seems to be the common reference. To me it's the stiffer limb, being shorter than the top one. I think if the limbs are timed and tillered correctly, they probably store about the same amount of energy.

The form I use sets top and bottom by design. ASL's I set by stronger limb to bottom

I'm not into gadgets, but I am curious. After seeing this thing all over the place, I decided I should make one and check it out. Thanks to the creator, Eric K. Haven't used it yet, but if it works like everybody says, I'll be happy to save some time.

I had a very good video on youtube about making and using a gizmo. A couple of months ago youtube deleted it for some reason, they said it violated their guidelines, go figure.

Flem, your gizmo looks a little short, 6" seems to be the best length.

Knotty pine would be interesting specialy if the knots got that red translucent color in them be like having head lights on your Gizmo
