Who is gonna move it around for ya, old man?

Yeah maybe needs wheels on it.  :bigsmyl:

I already have heavy duty casters to put on it.  I want to be able to move it to the middle of the shop sometimes, and it will be the same height as the table saw so I can use it to support material being cut.

Roy from Pa

Maybe a motor, tranny, and rear end would help too:)

Crooked Stic

Hey I seen a motor in one of these threads and big ole pipe wrench you could adjust everything up with,  :bigsmyl:

This bow had a rough life from the start but it's finally done(ish). I had to piece together scraps to get the riser. The accents are off center and you can clearly see a glue line where I added a block of wood to get it wide enough to make the riser. Then my assistant (who looks a LOT like me) taped the wrong side of one of the pieces of glass. Of course he didn't tell me that until after it was glued up and cooked, so off came the glass. I got it cleaned up and glued it back on correctly but found a fair size place that didn't glue well. So I got that opened a bit and filled it with CA (it was in the riser area) and clamped it good. I put both overlays and underlays on it to stiffen the tips a bit. Both are probably longer that needed but I learned what I needed to know for the next one.

After all that, it came in lighter than planned so it became a 58" bow instead of 60" to regain some weight. To top it all off it had to settle for the bottom end of a rattle can of finish. This may have to be my PLF model (Poor Little Fella).

But not all is lost since it was really a test run of the new form I made a while back. At the end of the day it lives and actually shoots pretty nice. I am not completely sold on the tiller but considering its hard luck story, it is what it is. Draw weight is around 33-35# at 28", I still need to put it on the draw board and find out exactly.

That looks just dandy skeater
You could always gift it to somebody if you don't keep it. There's someone, somewhere who would be tickled to have it.

I really enjoyed your build story and how you over came your obstacles a mark of a true bowyer & still ended up with a shooter
If you fear failure, you will never try ! But never except it!!

Good Story...  The best thing is that you powered on through and you learned a few things...  The full draw looks good...
