When you said you got an ASAT leafy suit I thought it would be more than just a handkerchief.

Just ordered some Glass from some guy called Kenny...  Hope it's the good stuff...        :goldtooth:

FH...  Is that the carbon one??  Looking forward to seeing what changes in performance it makes...  Or was it .030" glass that you were using??

Forwardhandle

Its a 60 in. Carbon under .040 glass got a good vibe on this one , I got to give ol Kenny a call here for glass to soon !

kenny, i swear by the asat suits, i have been using mine for nigh on 12 years now, with great success. the older it gets the better it works- unlike me of course :bigsmyl:
i have used it in the thorn scrub of  south africa a lot, also in the grass lands of Alberta and the brush and scrub of the foothills of the Rockies, and now out here in the bright green temperate rain forest of the PNW coast.
i am sure a ghillie suit might be the only thing better- but they are hot, heavy and stinky.
you just need to wash the asats 4 or 5 times before you use them, take some of that bright colour out, and soften and quieten them a bit- although they are already quiet as it is.

i always chuckle at all the green camo's as its not the colours that matter, but rather the patterns and the tones, with my asat suit on( grey/ beige/brown) i have had a small hawk land on my head while ground hunting in a mass of bright green coniferous foliage here in the PNW.
its quite incredible gear really.

shafts are looking great Roy :wavey:

kennym

That sounds great Wayne. A little warm but I'm trying it where I killed the buck a week or so ago this eve...

This will be my this years donation to KTBA Tyler shoot. All the proceeds go to the KY. high school archery program. Chances will be available at the KY. Tradfest and up until the shoot in Aug. of this year. I got the riser block glued up and veneers ready to grind.

I went to a local lumber guy and told him I need some hard maple. I got this slab and could see the ambrosia but ruff sawn the stripes did not show. I sliced it in 4 inch wide pieces for drying and seen the stripes. After air drying I stabilized it with cactus juice and blue dye. I have more of this but not stabilized yet. Maple takes enough juice on that it does not float and about doubles the weight.[attachment=1]   This one is mine.

Garman

I consider completely finished yesterday, I have been shooting it and for a newbie like me it shoots good ( I can keep almost all 6-8 arrows in a clay pigeon at 15 yards when I am concentrating). It is 58lbs at 28", it has purple heart tip overlays, lavender die colored leather grip, I stitched it open on the front. The brace appears best aboout 6-1/4" -6-3/8". The actual grip of the riser is a bit big, but I will see if I reconfigure later. It is a hard maple, purple heart, walnut riser. The limbs go black glass, maple, boo, osage tapers and clear. This is my first laminate build and only my second bow build. Thanks for all the help guys and gals, especially Kenny. Roy I am sorry I did not take your advice and go all pink. :goldtooth:

Forwardhandle

Good looking bow and gal you got there ,I dont think she releases yet about your addication but she will know soon enough
