Tuning Black Widow

Been quite a spell since I've been in the trad loop and on Tradgang and definitely not familiar with any of this new format. I have a TF Widow that is shooting left. Shooting some 23/64 footed cedar arrows. Shooting 3 fingers under if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance for any help.

Are you right handed? Specs of bow, arrow, etc will help. Could be form issues too.

I am right handed, bow is 58" and 52@28. Has the older style velcro style strike plate. Wasn't sure if it needed something put behind the strike plate or a thinner one put on ? Its shooting about 6 inches left of center of target.

Without knowing the spine of the arrow will be difficult to figure.
If the spine is too heavy if you have a much heavier point you could try that to see if it moves closer.

Arrow flight is perfect, not kicking off the bow from a spine issue of too heavy or too light of shaft. Just consistently shooting this bow to the left six inches. I can pick up my pch at near same specs and hit the center every time with same arrows ??

You might want to try a thinner material for the side plate. You said TF and not PTF, so it may be that that the newer P series bow are cut a bit closer to center. Not sure on that but you could contact Roger at Black Widow. Try bare shafting one of your arrows and see how it sticks in the target. A fletched shaft doesn't necessarily allow you to see a spine issue. Just got a TF this October and I am very pleased with it. Good luck!👍🏻🏹

I'm with Mike, strip the fletching off one of your field tipped arrows and see how it kicks and where it impacts the target in relation to a fletched shaft. That will for sure let ya know if there is a spine issue..

You may be plucking the string on release. When I do it sends the arrow left every time.

If it's not something in your form, the arrows are too stiff. As has already been suggested, try a heavier point, maybe also a thinner side plate, but may need to go to a softer spine. Going to a smaller diameter shaft would also help, from 23/64 to 11/32 in wood, for example, or from 5/16 to 9/32 in carbons.
