It's been a long spell since the Lil' Favorite recurve has been available but that hiatus will soon be over. The Lil' Favorite was an offshoot of the original Shrew Stalker that John McCullough introduced into the Shrew line many years ago. The original design was a 54" forward handled bow with what I called a semi static recurve limb.

It's being brought back in a 54" and 56" length and will be available to see and try at the Traditional Archery Expo in  January at Kalamazoo Michigan.

Awesome ground  blind hunting/tight tree stand bow.  Super smooth draw even at my 28.5 inch draw (and I know Ron has customers with much longer draws).  Great to see these are going to be available again.👍👍

That is a pretty looking bow! Speaking of hiatuses... will the Shrew Hill ever come out of retirement?

I recall some years back when the first prototype was brought to ShrewHaven deer camp for evaluation, it was passed around so everyone would get a chance to hunt with it. If memory serves the little bow killed three deer that week. Roger Norris was the one who suggest calling it the Lil' Favorite..... the name stuck.

I'm really interested in this! I love short bows and that looks like a shooter

Yes it is a shooter and a very quiet shooting bow.

These two deer were taken on the same weekend with my Lil' Favorite. That bow was 65# and because of my new shoulder is too heavy for me now

I was hoping this was a stock bow  :banghead:

If I was looking for a new bow, I'd have to have one of those 54 inchers... Thanks Ron, just what I needed, something else to add to my wish list...  :archer:

This is such great news. The original Li'l Favorite was my go to bow for years. I shot a prototype of the new Li'l favorite while up in ShrewHaven, and I liked it.....better. I have one on order.

In my opinion, this relaunched Li'l Favorite draws smoother, spits an arrow quicker, and feels better in the hand. I'm not a bowyer or an engineer, so I cannot explain WHY it feels better, but as we all know....a hunting bow has to be part of you, it has to draw and shoot without much conscious thought of the bow itself. That is how this bow felt to me.

I hope Ron has some at Kalamazoo, they will be a huge hit.

Ron if I went with the 56"  Would it pull to 30" comfortable without over stressing it? Can you say what a 45 # would check at 30"  I love the idea of a short bow just haven't found one that works for me.  Thanks >>>>------> ken

Ron LaClair

The original bow was 54", we later provided it in a 56" as well for the long draw guys.

A bow that pulled 45#@ 28" should be just over 50#@ 30"

What's the brace height?  Thanks

Hi Ron,

What is the projected wait time. Also, will there be a plus or minus on draw weight?

Do we contact you to order?
