Having fun out on the hunting grounds

It's that time of year when anything can happen. Yesterday I got out after work, in the woods by 9:30. It pouring rain, so I'll check cameras as I go. First camera, I'm kneeling changing cards and two deer come running by almost in arms length away! Hike out to second camera, still pouring like crazy, change cards, turn around, small eight standing right behind me wondering what I am. Realizes I'm a human and takes off. I decide where I'll sit. Rain stops when I get there which I was hoping for based on weather app. After sitting a while, a buck comes up from behind, scraping and rubbing, making noise. Circles around to my right and winds me. Day is done. Thanks Lord for the fun day.

Just having fun being out hunting again. The deer are really making fun of me this year. I've been hunting a secluded part of my Dad's property, and it is a very tough ground to hunt. Only allowed one deer there, so being picky and just soaking it all in.
