Target Setup

I have a round bale in the back that I like to shoot. I like to step out the front and shoot off the porch sometimes also. All I have out there right now is a Rhinhart. I see threads about shooting stations,and wanted to make one for the front. I asked the wife,and she didn't want any part of a permanent thing structure. I just thought I'll forget about it,and then she came up with the bucket idea,so we can move it. The top part was way too high to shoot at so I moved the targets down. I think I'll put a little sign across the top,like Rick's shooting station or something silly like that. I plan on taking cardboard and putting paper targets on it. I will take thin strips of wood and tack them on the very bottom. I think it will be very neat when I get it all done. I'll post up some more pictures when I get it all done. I forgot I'll put some horse mat on the back as well.

Neat! I built my stand on a sled type base to make it easier to pull if I need to move it.

That's a better idea. I might put this on something too. I'm hoping i won't have to move it often.

Here is one I made a few years ago. The wood was free from work, it came as slats to protect shipments during transit. The face was several layers of burlap stretched and stapled into place then it was stuffed with cut up old clothes. Cost me a total investment of under $5. I just made a portable layer target from stacked and compressed cardboard bound together by strapping, total cost $0. I also shoot a Rhinehart 18-1 but prefer my homemade targets

All them targets look nice! Should have never asked your wife tho lol
I shoot at a round bale most of the time. Have a 3d deer for the treestand and make cardboard deer cut outs for the round bale.

my cardboard target is nowhere near that refined lol. I just cut up some boxes at work that are 4 layers thick and banded them up together real quick.

I got my target stand moved out in the lawn,and put the horse mat and cardboard on. I plan on putting some animal targets on the cardboard,but this works for now.

The wife is working on some overlay for the top. I was just going to router something in there,but if she wants to help.

That one arrow was supposed to be with the rest of them,but I totally plucked it.

Seems as though it never quits raining here so I have targets all over the yard and shoot from inside the garage.
