I have been registered on this site since 2008 and have enjoyed it very much. I have not always agreed with all opinions expressed, but with very few exceptions, the debate has been civil (the mods have always seen to that). I have learned a lot from some very skilled archers/hunters and have read many fine stories. Oddly, none of my family or friends  participates in my archery hobby or even shows any degree of interest. Consequently, I have a huge number of friends, most whom I have never met in person, who make up a tremendous portion of my social contact, totally separate from those around me. Did I mention I like it here?

Been on here for over 15 years.   It is a very fine forum.

I imagine this thread is in response to the idiotic thread that is now locked.

I have to say I really enjoy it here. I have met a lot of great people and close friends through here. I have also been afforded opportunities i will never forget until I die or dementia sets in. I am very thankful for that.

My advice to anyone who is"not impressed". Do something to make this a better place. Submit a story or pictures. Saying you're not impressed does nothing to better it here.

Keep up the good work all.
Relax,

The longevity of Tradgang speaks for itself.

I'm "impressed", even if that 1/2 wit fella isn't.

I wanted to post on this earlier but that pesky work thing intervened.
I find a lot of knowledge, diversity of experience and stories to learn from here.
However there are a few elitist members who think that they are above and better than other archers because of the discipline they choose to pursue.
Those people, their attitude and corrosive comments are a cancer to the traditional community because they belittle and discourage the experience and backgrounds of those who seek to enter a new realm of he archery world.
For many of us it has been a step taken because what we have done has faded and we look for the deeper challenges traditional archery presents.
However the disrespect shown to our commitment to archery and hunting for decades is insulting and pitiful.
That said I personally have looked past the limited vision and small minded actions of those few others for decades in my quest for higher understanding of my pursuits.  So I allow those comments and points of view to fall by the wayside in my quest for a better and more complete vision of whom I can become as an archer and hunter.
So in my not so HPOV I will glean the wheat from the chaff from any forum or campfire I am gifted to attend and allow the others the opportunity to do the same without it negatively impacting my experience.
