Anyone shooting an ACS with the aluminum riser they offer? What are your thoughts on it, I see they offer a few different grips as well, and what is the riser weight? Is their bamboo limb option worth the upgrade? Thanks

Orion

They can make the aluminum in the same grips as the wood risers.  Aluminum is heavier.  I forget how much, but I believe the weight is indicated on the web site.  I now have bamboo cored limbs, but have had the maple cores in the past.  I can't really tell a difference.  There's very little core wood.  The carbon back and belly do most of the work.

Last year, I shot the bamboo core limbs on the 14" wood riser for 3D, and field archery. I felt that I needed to get a little more weight,so I went to the aluminum riser. Big difference in my scores. I shoot it off the shelf with a burger button. The extra weight really helps keeps the bow from waiving around. I am very happy with the new riser. It has a really nice wood grip. Hope this helps a little.
