So sorry Jeff,  my "Pop" is long in the tooth and spends his days now far from the duck blind he ruled. He is UPS driver number 1 consumer of dog biscuits
Aim down your arrow because thats where it's going.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss.  It's not easy to go through.  Just take solace in the fact that the pain and suffering are gone. RIP Cash.

A dog owner knows all you can do is put your arm across someone's shoulders and wait for the ache to subside. Losing a fine dog is like no other pain in the world. You've got my sympathy and condolences.

JusAGuy

So sorry for your loss.

Those folks who've never been willing to have a dog cannot even remotely understand the love an animal and a human can share.

Sorry for your loss, breaks my heart looking at her pic.

IndioArcher

I'm sorry for your loss. They are such a part of of our lives—actually a part of us—it is hard to imagine them not being there. Sounds like Cash is in a better place, though. I know that doesn't make it any easier. My condolences.

My wife & I laid our beloved Cash to rest this afternoon. She loved everyone especially kids...but was a fierce hunting/tracking dog. She has left a big hole in my heart that I'm not sure how I can fill. She was diagnosed with Acute Leukemia/Stage 5 Lymphoma less than 6 weeks ago.  I checked with oncologists across the country for some type of treatment plan even experimental...but to no avail.  The cancer and pain are now gone so rest in peace my dear Cashy.

She got to enjoy a little sun under one of her favorite bushy spots this morning.

Just seeing that picture with the line above it is enough to bring tears to my eyes. Having had 5 Great Danes, and having to go through a similar experience with several of them, I feel your pain.

Currently have 2 now, and one of them is getting older...

Even though I'm retired, my clinic still treats me like the Old Man of the practice.  They were so thoughtful to send a Bouquet of Roses for Cash.  Laid one pink rose where she last rested.  Still having a hard time.

Hardest thing I ever had to do was make that same decision. She was 14 years old, I feel your pain. My biggest problem I had was I felt guilty for hurting so much for the loss of my dog when there are so much more important reasons for feeling the hurt. Then a fellow Tradgang friend told me. Do not feel that way because, Toby was a gift from our savior Jesus Christ. A gift that we are responsible for just the same as any gift God would grant us. You grieve your pooch my brother and listen to your heart, time will heal your sorrow but you will never forget the gift god gave you and your family. Remember the great time you had and never forget.
We are what we do repeatedly. Execellence is, therefore, not an act but a habit.
