Thick fog slowly lifts
Jagged peaks and hairy beast
Food for soul and body.

Hey Clint,

Yes mate... the Synthain was my first Saluki... and yes her curves are one of her greatest features... both bows pretty and are great to shoot.. Very fast for a little compact bow...

There are any number of really good bows out there.  However, my favorite bows are Bob Lee Bows.  I shoot several brands but always hunt with a Bob Lee.  I am not much on longbows but I do have one, a Prairie Predator.  I like it a lot but it is not my go to bow.

I spent several weeks researching my next bow. Turned out to be my last bow - Toelke SS recurve!
I now know what stack is.
Thinking seriously of selling my ILf- not as pricey as a Border or Morrison but still around 800 usd. The toelke is so smooth by comparison. I have been a hybrid longbow shooter but the transition to recurve was painless. The grip is very natural being made for my hand.
Centaur bows are another which intrigue me deeply due to the personality of the bowyer.
Gonna get another Toelke though, (wife and) God willing
Toelke SS recurve
Toelke Whip
Sky Wildfire ilf with foam carbon xxl limbs

Hi mate, I haven't had the chance to shoot Bob Lee bows...

Hi mate, I have a Whip and love it... the SS looks interesting

Hey all,

Has anyone shot the longbows by Hurst Bows...?

Regards Guy

Sam McMichael

I seldom shoot the recurve, but when I do, I prefer my Red Wing Hunter. Mostly I shoot a Hill style longbow. My current favorites are a Shelton from Northern Mist and a Wesley Special from HHA.
