That's a mountain goat at the gate, first one on a trail cam!

Charlie Lamb

Great photos as always Jim. Is that goat at a fairly low elevation?

Yes Charlie. It is.It is in the bottom of a canyon at the base of the mountain, but still about 5,500".Usually,they have moved up to the top of the mountain by now, which is up to 10,000',but not always. There are cliffs on each side and a beautiful, little mountain stream, just off the road.If they are in these foothills, they come down to water.I saw one on the cliffs, just above the road where he is,in late May.I thought he'd be up in the high country by now but this is probably him.

First check of trail cams this year. Nothing unusual to see but the very last pic was of a bobcat from the morning we went in to our property. In the 11 years we've owned it only have one other pic of  a cat.
The best things in life....aren't things!

That's pretty neat Bill.Looks like he's on the hunt.Looks healthy too.

You never know what you are going to get with trail cams Jim.  I enjoy running a few, reminds me of my trapping days.  I guess the coyotes like back straps too!
