Why do my private messages disappear as soon as I read them and where do they go?

we've been seeing these kinds of issues cropping up lately and currently we don't personally see that happening but that surely doesn't mean the problem doesn't exist.  the system was just resync'd, and hopefully that will make things right again.

I also just deleted a bunch of OLD forums ...after we made a copy....old forums that were used for temporary service...and even though they weren't that large...they added up to one HUGH forum...so that may also help alleviate some issues.
