Bow “diet” suggestions

Bow started out at 62#.  Wanting to be in the 50-55# range.

Here's what I've done so far. Trapped the back at about 45 degree  angle thru the glass and one lam. The lam is a .002 taper, so the limbs are trapped more at the handle and less at the tips. This dropped about 4#.
I've also sanded the glass(.040) enough to get the sheen off, then a few additional passes. This dropped an additional 1#.

I'd like to get another 2-3#. I don't want to trap the back any further, as the next lam is a different wood and don't want to expose it on the back.

Suggestions? My current plan is to sand the glass a little more to hopefully drop another 1-2#. Anything else I can do?

Trap the belly and then round over the sides.

That's called narrowing, isn't it Roy?

Not really, Pat. Trap back, trap belly, leaving the original side edge in tact. Say leaving 1/16th or more of center of edge alone. Then just light sandpaper to round up a tad.

I seen the bow he is working on and it's fairly thick. So he has room to do that.

Whats the tiller like?  Youll drop a little more if you need to adjust tiller.  Just my first thought

When a bow is tillered or weight reduced at the factory they sand the glass. Have you ever seen a new factory or custom bow with one limb narrowed to bring the tiller in?

Trapped just the glass on the belly side. That didn't seem to drop much weight. So I decided to sand glass. Combined between belly and back, ended up taking .004 off the full length. Got it down to 55#.
